Meet the Founder & Developer

Arontyler Hernandez is the Founder and Developer of Medtap Health. His path to building this platform was anything but conventional. It was forged through years of protecting people, serving patients, and witnessing firsthand the gaps in a healthcare system that too often leaves patients behind.

Before healthcare, Arontyler spent five years in the security industry, providing executive protection for celebrities, professional athletes, and businesses. He specialized in threat assessment, crowd control, and close-quarters defense, and was trained in firearms and combat tactics by Navy SEALs, Marines, and a former Denver Police Department sergeant. He trained in mixed martial arts for over fifteen years, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Taekwondo, and Boxing, and eventually became a licensed private investigator in the state of Mississippi. He also spent a year in public safety, working alongside the Denver Police Department and District 3 detectives to apprehend wanted criminals involved in drug trafficking and violent crime in the Cherry Creek area. He studied Forensic Investigation at Holmes Community College before pivoting into healthcare. This is why security is not just a feature of Medtap. It is personal.

Arontyler's transition into healthcare began at the ground level. He worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for two years through the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, stationed on the front lines of nursing homes when it mattered most. He then moved into a role as a Patient Care Assistant in rehabilitation, supporting individuals through long- and short-term recovery. Driven by a desire to help people beyond the bedside, he earned certifications from the International Sports Science Association, graduating at the top of his class as a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Specialist, and Nutrition Coach, and spent two years training professional collegiate athletes in football, soccer, and baseball. He currently works as a Clinical Medical Administrative Assistant and scribe in dermatology. Graduating from Colorado Technical University with a degree in Health Administration with a 3.75 GPA achieving Dean's and President's List honors. He also attended Harvard, where he completed the Innovating in Health Care Certificate Program. He was also inducted into the National Society of Success and Leadership and the Honor Society.

What led Arontyler to create Medtap Health was something he saw again and again, across every setting he worked in: patient documents were scattered across providers, lost in transitions, and often completely useless at the moments they were needed most. He realized that the most important information in healthcare, our own health records, did not belong to the people it described. So he took matters into his own hands. With no team, no investors, and no outside help, he began building Medtap Health himself, drawing on everything his security and clinical backgrounds had taught him. His hope is simple but ambitious: that Medtap becomes more than an organizational tool, that it becomes an ally. And that one day, it helps change the way healthcare information is created, shared, and distributed, even if the person who carries it forward is not him. He just wants what is right for the people.
